These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the First Step Solar website and services. First Step Solar is operated by Four Leaf Marketing Co (ABN 39 909 944 739) ("First Step Solar", "we", "us" or "our"). By accessing our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
First Step Solar provides an independent solar information and referral service for South Australian homeowners. We help you understand solar options and connect you with independent, third-party solar installers ("installers") who can provide quotes and carry out work. We are a referral service only. We do not sell, supply, design or install solar systems, and we are not party to any contract you enter into with an installer.
Installers we refer you to are independent businesses. While we take reasonable steps to refer reputable installers, we do not employ, control or act as agent for them. Any quote, advice, contract, product, workmanship, warranty or service provided by an installer is solely between you and that installer. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, pricing, timeliness or suitability of any installer's products or services, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
Information on our website — including about solar panels, inverters, batteries, rebates, feed-in tariffs and estimated costs or savings — is general in nature and provided for your convenience. It does not take into account your specific circumstances and is not professional, financial or engineering advice. Estimates (including any calculator outputs) are indicative only and actual results may differ. You should obtain independent advice and verify details with a qualified installer before making a decision.
When using our website and submitting an enquiry, you agree that: the information you provide is true, accurate and your own (or you are authorised to provide it); you are at least 18 years old; you are the property owner or are authorised to seek quotes for the property; and you consent to being contacted by the installers we refer your enquiry to. You must not use our website unlawfully, attempt to interfere with its operation, or submit false or misleading enquiries.
Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Data Collection Notice. By submitting an enquiry, you consent to your details being disclosed to up to three independent installers so they can contact you and provide quotes.
All content on this website is owned by or licensed to First Step Solar and is protected by Australian and international intellectual property laws. Your use of our content is governed by our Copyright Policy.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited (at our option) to re-supplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
