This Data Collection Notice is provided under Australian Privacy Principle 5 of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). It tells you, at the point you give us your information, how First Step Solar handles the details you provide. It works alongside our full Privacy Policy.
Your information is collected by Four Leaf Marketing Co (ABN 39 909 944 739) trading as First Step Solar, located in South Australia. You can contact our Privacy Officer at [PRIVACY EMAIL].
When you request a quote or use our tools, we collect details such as your name, address, email, phone number, information about your property and energy usage, and your solar requirements.
We collect your information so we can match your enquiry with independent solar installers operating in South Australia and pass your details to them so they can prepare quotes and contact you directly. By submitting your details, you consent to First Step Solar disclosing your personal information to up to three independent solar installers for this purpose. Those installers are separate businesses that will handle your information under their own privacy policies and contact you directly about your enquiry.
We collect your information directly from you when you complete a form, use our solar calculator, or contact us. We also collect some technical data automatically through cookies when you use our website.
Providing your information is voluntary. However, if you choose not to provide the information we ask for, we may not be able to match you with installers or provide you with quotes.
Besides solar installers, we may share your information with our service providers (such as IT, hosting and marketing platform providers) who help us run our service, and with regulators or authorities where required by law. Some service providers may store data overseas. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
We may send you solar-related information or offers where you have consented. You can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message or by contacting us.
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, and you can make a privacy complaint, at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how, and how to contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you are not satisfied with our response.
For full details about how we handle your personal information, please read our Privacy Policy.
